Low clearance clinics

Our ‘low clearance’ clinics are for people with advanced kidney disease. This is when the kidney function of the body only works to about 15–20%. At this point, your kidneys will have low filtering capacity so they can’t clear waste from the blood. That is where the name ‘low clearance’ comes from.

We will help you to prepare for future treatment and learn how to manage your symptoms to stay in control. We will also help you decide the right treatment path for you.

This could be dialysis treatment or helping you to prepare for a kidney transplant.
