EPAU: Early pregnancy assessment unit
What is EPAU?
Our EPAU helps people who have problems or worries in the first weeks of pregnancy, usually up to about 12–16 weeks.
Our trained nurses, doctors and ultrasound staff can check symptoms like bleeding, pain or concerns based on previous pregnancies.
Where can I find EPAU?
The EPAU is at Chester Lodge on the Sunderland Royal Hospital site.
This is the building to the right when you enter on Chester Road. It is opposite Chester Wing.
Enter the building and follow signs to EPAU.
