Mr Sanjay Kumar

Mr Kumar is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine.

He treats people with urgent or life-threatening problems. 

He has been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at South Tyneside District General Hospital since 2005.

Mr Kumar is trained in many specialities, including emergency medicine, surgery, urology (bladder and kidneys), paediatrics (babies, children and teenagers) and acute medicine (people who get poorly suddenly).  

He has a special interest in trauma care. Trauma care involves treating people who are seriously injured in accidents or emergencies. 

Mr Kumar is also an Advanced Life Support instructor, a Royal College of Emergency Medicine examiner, a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration assessor and an Educational and Clinical Supervisor.
