Dr Edd Nowicki

Dr Nowicki is a Geriatrician.

A Geriatrician looks after the health of older people. 

He is responsible for inpatients on Ward 2 at South Tyneside District Hospital. He set up the Movement Disorders service at South Tyneside and works as a member of the wider Parkinson’s Disease Team across the Trust. 

Dr Nowicki's interests include movement disorders, palliative care (looking after people with serious illnesses), heart failure and frailty (a condition when a person becomes weaker and less able to cope with illness).

He teaches fourth year medical students from Newcastle University and is the Block Lead for the third year Geriatrics Teaching Block for University of Sunderland's Medical School.

His GMC number is 4200079.
