Antenatal Day Units
What is the Antenatal Day Unit?
You will visit our Antenatal Day Unit for some appointments and scans during your pregnancy. You might also come in for extra checks. You do not stay overnight. You come in for a few hours and then go home.
Staff in the unit:
- check your blood pressure
- listen to your baby’s heartbeat
- do scans or blood tests if needed
- check any symptoms you might be worried about
- give advice and support
We help make sure you and your baby are healthy. If there is a problem, we can act quickly and give you the right care.
