Oncology and Haematology Day Unit
What happens on this Unit?
This is a Chemotherapy, Haematology and Infusion Day Unit.
The team cares for people who need cancer treatment or other infusions (blood) and supports patients with a wide range of health needs.
They provide safe treatment, close monitoring and kind, patient‑centred care to help each person feel comfortable and supported.
Chemotherapy can be given in the hospital, at home or through the Trust's outreach services, depending on what suits the patient best.
Staff work with patients and their families to guide them through their treatment and plan any follow‑up care that may be needed.
