You can make sure money is donated to a charity in your will.
A will is a legal document that says what happens to your things when you die. This includes your money.
There are two types of gifts in a will:
- A residuary gift. This means you can leave a share of the money that you have left. For example, 5% of what is left.
- A pecuniary gift. This is a fixed amount of money. For example, £100.
To make sure your gift or donation goes to the right place, you should let us know if:
- You are thinking of leaving a gift to STS Charity in your will
- You have already included STS Charity in your will
- If you are an executor of a will. This is when you are responsible for your loved one’s will after they’ve died.
