Dr Nicola Ramshaw

Dr Ramshaw is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.

As an Obstetrician, Dr Ramshaw looks after women during pregnancy, childbirth and after birth. A Gynaecologist treats conditions affecting the uterus, ovaries and vagina. 

Her clinical interests are investigating and managing gynaecological cancers, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery and robotic surgery. She is also a certified Colposcopist. A Colposcopist uses a special tool to check the cervix, which is the opening to the uterus.  

Dr Ramshaw is the College Tutor for the department. She oversees the training of the resident doctors. She is also a Training Programme Director for Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the North East.
