Each machine costs around £30,000.

These are electric couch-style beds. They support people who are less mobile. They help us do examinations and laser treatments.

We want to buy 25 chairs.

Each chair costs around £10,000.

This machine tests eye muscles. It helps find problems with how the eyes move or see, like eyes that shake, eyes that don’t look the same way or a lazy eye.

Having more of these machines will make assessments quicker. They will also mean not coming back for more visits.  

Each machine costs around £9,000.

These are eye test charts. They test near and distance vision. They show lots of letters in different sizes. They also have pictures to test children’s sight.

We want to buy 40 charts.

They cost around £1,300 each.

The new Eye Hospital will have rooms and units for teaching and research. We would like to put new technology in these rooms. This includes video technology that links to microscopes in theatres.

This equipment costs around £25,000.

This supports training for staff. It uses virtual reality to show what things are like in real life. This means we don’t have to add extra stress during your appointment.

This equipment costs around £100,000.

These are special tools that help us look closely at your eyes. A Slit Lamp lets the doctor see the front and inside parts of your eye. It helps check if your eyes are healthy.

We want to buy 15 of these.

They cost around £21,000 each.

This microscope will help us see more patients in our Emergency Department. It will help us find out what’s wrong and give them the right help faster.

It costs around £25,000.

This is special equipment that measures the size of your eye and works out what lenses you need for cataract surgery. It means you won’t need to visit different departments.

It costs around £42,000.

This special light helps treat eye problems like cloudy vision or narrow spaces in the eye. It can stop some eye diseases from getting worse. With this new light, we can help more people quickly without them needing to walk around the hospital.

It costs around £25,000.

This special equipment measures pressure in your eyes. It’s used to diagnose glaucoma. This is one of the most common eye conditions that will affect more people I the future.

It will help us see more people and diagnose and treat conditions linked to glaucoma quicker.

We would like to have even more comfortable furniture in our waiting areas.

This would cost around £60,000.
