Outpatient appointments

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please try to give us at least 24 hours’ notice. This means we can offer your slot to another patient. To change your appointment:

  • Call our Contact Centre on 0191 541 0101. This line is open as follows:

Monday to Thursday from 7.30am to 7pm

Friday from 7.30am to 5pm

Saturday from 8.30am to 1pm

Our friendly Contact Centre team are there to help you. You can also get in touch with the relevant service. The contact details you need will be on your appointment letter.

Please note: If you miss your appointment without letting us know, we may take you off the waiting list. If this happens, you will need to ask your GP to re-refer you back to us.

These lines are open Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 5pm.

We are making more of our appointments live in the NHS app. This means you can use the NHS app to view, accept, or ask to change or cancel your appointment with us. You can also see any letters we send.

Do not worry if you cannot see your appointment on the NHS app just yet. We are working hard to get more of our clinics on board.
