This service helps people if they have a problem with their glands or hormones. The endocrine system is the network of glands that make hormones and release them in the body. It controls a key part of how the body works and functions. Too much or too little of a hormone can cause illness.

The thyroid gland is a butterfly shape in your neck. Sometimes it does not make enough hormones, or it can make too much. If it makes too much this can affect your heart rate and body temperature. To find out more visit:

This affects two small glands called adrenal glands. They sit on top of your kidneys and make two vital hormones. The disease happens when your immune system attacks these glands and damages them. To find out more visit: Addison's disease - NHS
