We work with children and young people up to 18 who can't complete the daily "occupations" they need to, want to or need to do.
Our daily life is made up of many occupations. Childhood occupations include:
- Self-care tasks like feeding, dressing, bathing and brushing teeth
- Productivity tasks like handwriting, using scissors and using a ruler
- Leisure activities like playing with toys, riding a bike, taking part in hobbies
We work with the child or young person and their family to agree on goals that mean something to them.
We do tests to work out what is stopping them being able to do these tasks. We then do different kinds of activities to help them get better, develop their skills and become independent.
