The Niall Quinn Children’s Centre (NQCC) is the children’s outpatient department at Sunderland Royal Hospital.

Your child will come here if they have an outpatient appointment. An outpatient appointment does not need an overnight stay.

The NQCC was built especially for the service. It has 10 consultation rooms and a special child-friendly waiting room. It has direct access to the main hospital and the children's wards if they are needed.

There are lots of different outpatient services at the Niall Quinn Children's Centre (NQCC).

Specialities include:

  • general children's services
  • respiratory (lungs and breathing)
  • allergies
  • diabetes
  • epilepsy
  • endocrine (glands and hormones)
  • neurodisability (brain and nervous system)
  • gastroenterology (digestive system)
  • cardiology (heart)
